This is my first post to mailing lists. I'm hope I'm doing it right.

I have an iAudio X5 60GB
My problem is with recording. I hear noise when I turn the gain all the way
up, but the microphone isnt picking up anything, even when I tap it. I
tried switching format settings, bitrate...etc.
I even pluged in the black piece and tried line in recording, but got the
same problem with just less noise (thus it can't be my hardware).
I checked to see that the trigger was off. Still won't record anything.

I seem to be having the same exact problem as this guy on the forums.
