That's not entirely true. There are SDHC cards with up to 32GB of space,
and Rockbox will support any SD/SDHC card. So, unless the card is an
SDXC card (which I highly doubt), it should work.

While the Sandisk firmware of the original e200 series only supports SD
cards, the e200v2 firmware also supports SDHC cards.

If you need to, you can certainly format it using diskmgmt.msc. Rockbox
won't be able to format the card, and the original firmware won't be
able to handle SDHC cards, at least if it's a v1 series device.

Do you need to format it at all? Usually those cards already have a
somewhat sane file system when they are sold.
