espeak is GPLv3 licensed while Rockbox is GPLv2 so there's a license problem.

There are a few solutions:

A - espeak changes (back) to GPLv2 [unlikely]

B - Rockbox changes to GPLv3 [unlikely]

C - We use the older espeak version from back when it was still GPLv2 - doable
     but we'd be basing our work on older espeak code.

D - wait and see if something changes that adds a better alternative

It seems we're mostly on option (D) these days.
