Date: Sun, 27 Mar 2011 14:43:03 -0500 Hello all: My iAudio x5l began having problems with the headphone plug not too long ago. This is really disappointing since this player has worked very well for years. I began using this player when it was first supported by rockbox as beta. I figured it is time to get a new player since the battery is getting weak and that 30g just isn't as big as it was 5 years ago. I have recently obtained a ipod classic 2g. That 120G of storage will be nice. I realize this player is still alpha and therefore not supported. However, any assistence would be appreciated. I have rockbox running on the player installed via the linux install instructions. All went well. My Wife helped reading the screen for me to complete the installation on the ipod. The 2 questions I have are: Is there a voice file I can download? The version loaded is r29009M-110108. Lastly, is there any documentation I can read about generating voice tags from the linux command line. I looked into this a few years ago; but, started using the windows rbutility instead. I think this would b a good time to switch to linux completely. The windows machine has itunes loaded for some of the other apple devices we have in our household. I am a long time rockbox user who is blind. I would like to express my appreciation to the developers.
