OK - I've put up a patch on http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/12118 which
seems to fix both your issues.

I won't commit it to SVN immediately as I don't really understand why the
code was like it was - it seems rather messy (gotos etc.), so I may well
have broken something else.

Hopefully some of the other devs (jhMikeS?) will check it over soon enough.

In the meantime, if you can get a Clip+ build made, feel free to report
back. (If anyone could make one - and a voice file) please volunteer. (I
have a Cygwin setup which seems unable to work with arm-elf-eabi-gcc.)
