iPod Video -- Kudos and Time Date Readout Suggestion

I recently grabbed the latest Rockbox for a couple of iPod Videos here,
and it works wonders! Kudos to all that worked on this one! :)
Before, I wrote about a problem with some of the previous versions
failing to give any voice feedback while in the recent book marks list.
in addition, the menu voice had been dying whenever any audio file is
played and doesn't come back until the iPod is restarted. And, in the
case with one of the iPods, the menu voice failed to read anything in
the System/Rockbox Info menu directory, essentially making it impossible
to check the status of the battery percentage.
Now, all the above problems have been fixed. On top of that, as if it
couldn't get better, it got better. Asides from being overall snappier,
I really like the feature that when an unknown song is stopped, the
focus goes to that song in the file browser. This doesn't sound like
much, but when one is blind and cannot read the title of the current
playing song, it is great to just fully stop the song and let the voice
tags in the directory announce the track name. Now, that is sweet!
With all these improvements, there is still one more request that I
would like to make. it is about the time and date. I would like an
easy way to have the menu voice tell me the time and date without having
to go into the change time and date setting. Manually going from field
to field is time consuming. I first thought of suggesting the time and
date to automatically read out whenever the user returns to the main
menu, but then I thought that perhaps others wouldn't like that feature.
So, what I suggest is to have a time and date readout feature that can
be added to the Quick screen. This way, the time and date can be
vocalized anywhere the quick screen can be accessed. I am sorry if this
is not the place to make suggestions. Is there an official way I can do
Once again, kudos to all those who helped in this latest Rockbox version
for the iPod Video. It rocks!
