Usually, yes. Unless you're using an older version you're completely
happy with of course. There has also been some discussion about
creating a new release, see this thread:

I don't understand why people start their own forks instead of
contributing upstream. As for myself I would avoid them, since I have
no idea how to get support in case of problems.
