Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2019 23:36:50 +0200 Hi! I have two Sansa Clip Zip with a battery that gives up at less than half of its capacity. It often enough happened that they crash and then cannot be switched on anymore or that they cannot be switched on anymore after I have switched them off before. They then do not respond, aka switch on, to being connecting to an USB charger. After usually half a day or day they can be charged again but lost their time and according to display charge an empty battery. I consider replacing the batteries and see that there are replacement batteries available at Ebay. But I do not even know how to open those players. There is a very tiny hole near the power button. I did not find any instructions on how to replace the battery. Did someone here replace the battery? How complex / tedious has this been? Any other Rockbox players to recommend? I also have a Sansa e260 with aging battery. I bet it would be easier to replace the battery of that model. As Sandisk even sold replacement battery kits for that model. And I already found Youtube video about replacing the battery. I had some strange distracting noise while playback with that Sansa e260, but if its easier to maintain the battery on those models, I'd rather go for some more of these. Although I really like those small and tiny Sansa Clip Zip. Any other recommendations?
