Thanks. Interesting. Well I did not have the noise all of the time, but every so often the noise was there for somewhat between 5-30 seconds or so. However, I only heard it with head phones. Connected to JBL Pebbles I do not hear any such noise. Or maybe… well I probably try again. Maybe a Rockbox update somehow got rid of the noises, although I kinda doubt that a software update would fix it. I really wonder about some used, smaller Smartphone as audio player. But I would like to make extra sure that it does not connect, not even tries to connect to any mobile network or WLAN. And according to what I read, that can be challenging. And it would need to have an replaceable battery. Well I can try to set up this old Fairphone 1 I still have here in that way.
