Take care, Gerry Ellis If you don’t know where you’re going, How will you know when you get there? -----Original Message----- From: rockbox <rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se> On Behalf Of Sheldon via rockbox Sent: Thursday 11 June 2020 03:39 To: Gerry Ellis via rockbox <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Cc: Sheldon <sheldon10101_at_gmail.com> Subject: Re: Advice on small FM Radio using Rockbox Hi: The Sansa Clip Zip with Rockbox is customizable to an amazing degree and can certainly be controlled by touch. I use it that way, going to sleep. You can even have it set up with a configuration file that runs everytime you turn it on. I suspect that you may want to go beyond just a FM radio. Ebay has a bunch of sansas available at various prices. Some with rockbox installed. Try craigslist and kiiji. I managed to get a new one a couple of years ago for a great price. If you just want radio, consider getting a FM plus HD radio. Just check that there is HD radio where you are. With HD, you get better sound and a lot more stations. Interestingly, the HD radios and ones with accessibility seem to be coming from the UK. Here's a review of a radio that isn't expensive and seems to work pretty well for the blind. https://dgriffithblog.com/2018/05/28/tactile-accessible-pocket-dab-dab-fm-radio/ Sheldon On 2020-06-10 3:18 PM, Gerry Ellis via rockbox wrote: > Hi, > > I am totally blind.
