A traceroute shows the following trace: > > (first two anonynousized - I don't want to get hacked.... 8) ) > > 1 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 0.483 ms 0.631 ms 0.774 ms > 2 XXXXXXXXX.XXXX.XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (XX.XXX.XXX.XX) > 3 * * * > 4 80.157.204.58 (80.157.204.58) 32.767 ms 32.940 ms 33.346 ms > 5 ae3.cr2-atl2.ip4.gtt.net (141.136.111.22) 149.266 ms 128.281 ms 149.274 ms > 6 city-of-gainesville-gw.ip4.gtt.net (46.33.80.194) 137.869 ms 131.019 ms 131.439 ms > 7 xe0-3-3.rcore02.ptp.gru.net (209.251.129.126) 131.855 ms 130.342 ms 132.574 ms > 8 co1-jbsm1-gw.customer.gru.net (209.251.128.57) 139.430 ms 139.444 ms 139.595 ms > 9 stuffed.shaftnet.org (64.238.189.241) 133.935 ms 134.437 ms 134.722 ms > > > HTH! > Cheers! > mcc Thank you for your tip! I am in Sweden. As you can see the route is nearly directly going to the right IP. The first two anonymized are only my homenetwork and than the adress of my internet-provider. raceroute to rockbox.org (64.238.189.241), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets 1 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 14.388 ms 14.317 ms 14.280 ms 2 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 17.418 ms 17.381 ms 32.067 ms 3 stuffed.shaftnet.org (64.238.189.241) 158.421 ms 159.969 ms 161.571 ms And now for the error-messages: In Firefox: Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at www.rockbox.org. In qutebrowser, some information on not found IP-address and then: ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED In chromium: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN But now I have done the workaround someone was pointing me to: name_servers=8.8.8.8 name_servers=8.8.4.4 in /etc/resolvconf.conf, and it's working. But, as I wrote it's only a workaround. The problem is left why the "official" DNS-solver of all the providers I use here are giving the same errors. With this question I will let you in peace. It's working and I don't want to bother you any more.
