Subject: Grouping Album Tracks In The Database By Codec Or File Extension?

Grouping Album Tracks In The Database By Codec Or File Extension?

Hello,

I would like to ask, is it somehow possible to make a custom tagnavi
file that would group tracks into albums, but with taking the file
format into account? To put it plainly, the default database is fine,
but I'd like all the album entries to look something like 'Album Name
[FLAC]', 'Album Name [MP3]' and so on. Is this possible? I would like
to do this, because sometimes I have a single album in multiple
formats and I would like to keep them separate from one another.
I have read the wiki section on writing custom tagnavi files, but it's
beyond my comprehension. Also, if I'm not mistaken, there is no Tag
Field for file format or file extension by default. I have also
thought of using bitrate for grouping, but I'm not sure how well that
would work in case of VBR encoded files, for example.

Many thanks for your help.
