The former works very well indeed [1] but the latter will likely never see a port due to severe memory limitations (the original Archos players have ~2X the RAM, for example) > I bought a 256 G micro-sd card but I'm confused about the format. You'll need to blow away the partition table and re-format the card with a FAT32 partition. I highly recommend using the 'gparted live' bootable image to do this; it'll handle everything properly.
