Date: Mon, 6 Dec 2021 13:06:29 -0500 I agree. I did a search within the past six months and noticed all of the remaining manufacturers have either gone priority, with only a few Rockbox compatible players remaining made in China. If I'm not mistaken, the music player function has merged with the cellular phone hardware platforms, almost effectively deprecating the so-called audio/music player hardware platform. The hardware is much smaller, and is usually always on a person due to the cellular phone's inherent needs. The cellular platform is usually Android, hence manufacturer's can still exploit the free open source software, while keeping all of the dirty ordinary civilians out of the code. Nothing like the phone company keeping track of all of your musical influences. You'll likely find within the past recent years, some audio players having a video player function show-up on the market. My preference, is something other than a not-well known foreign manufactured audio player. Eh, I like sending all my money to Intel.
