That's the maximum CPU clock speed -- it's dynamically reclockable and
rockbox already has the internal APIs to indicate when we need more or
less oomph. That said, the audio codec/headphone amp, RAM, power supply
(and other analog circuitry) will probably dwarf the CPU core's draw,
even with the display off.

That's for the builtin general-purpose DAC/ADCs, which are _not_ used
for audio -- The ADCs are for things like measuring battery voltage,
button input (single input used for most buttons, each registering as a
different voltage) and so forth, whereas the DAC might be used to adjust
backlight brightness or any number of other tasks.
