I don't care about the markdown formatting. I am just fine with opening it
as plain text file in Rockbox. The files are not that heavy on markdown
formatting that it would be a problem. However, as is Rockbox does not
recognize the file ending "*.md" as being text files, so I cannot open them
in the text viewer.

I'd like to teach it to open "*.md" files as text files. Otherwise I would
like just rename all "*.md" files to "*.txt" on the MicroSD. So is there a
way to assign the extension "*.md" to the regular text viewer?
