Recently I decided to revamp my old good iPod Video, suffering of some electrical problems, upgrading some components like battery, HDD/CF card and trying to apply the DiyMod to enhance the sound quality, as reported at https://www.instructables.com/DiyMod/ and different other articles on internet. The good new is that the iPod started, after battery replacement, since I left the present one discharged for a long time, booting Rockbox marked April 2012!!! The bad new is that I cannot mount the HDD on the PC via USB: the display on the player shows the USB plug, a new partition appears on the PC, but I cannot access the content. Nonetheless, when I unplug the cable, the player crashes with "cannot mount partition" or something like that. I bought an adapter card to plug the 40 pin ZIF HDD directly to the PC, I see two partitions, I thing the first one is for the Apple firmware, the second one is exFAT, I imagine for the storage, but I still can't see the partitions content. My question is: has anyone already used a HDD/SD conversion card from scratch, I mean without clone the HDD content, but doing a fresh install of Rockbox? Thank for any hint! -- ,= ,-_-. =. asettico ~ [ http://rossomaltese.it/ ] ((_/)o o(\_)) OpenPGP ~~ [ 1024D/1CB926BA 2003-11-29 ] `-'(. .)`-' \_/ -- Unsubscribe: http://lists.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rockbox FAQ: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GeneralFAQ Etiquette: http://www.rockbox.org/mail/etiquette.htmlReceived on 2024-05-06 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
