Not to start any kind of flame war, but I suppose the thought it the
ipod being "more advanced" is a relative point of view. The iRiver H300
series has an FM tuner, can play back video, play many more music
formats than the iPod, internal or external microphone/line-in
capability, etc. All long before Apple had anything on the market
capable of such things.

Just my $0.02. But then, I'm an open source nut, and find .ogg files
sound much better at similar bitrates than other encoding formats, which
none of Apple's products support (to my knowledge), so I'll stick with
my H320 for now.
