True, but it if's configurable some may be happy with the compromise - I
would use it. And generally you spend more time listening than browsing
right? You could also use small delays (time a cursor has to hover before
caching occurs) to optimize it a bit.

And playback caching (caching the previous and next track) is less of a
problem. If the previous track was actually played, you can just remember
its first few chunks, so then you're only caching the next track.
