just to prevent any questions: I am just on the dev's list because I
wanted to help, but unfortunately I couldn't. (still would like to
help on the iAudio X5 port though if there is something easy and just
time-consuming...?)

Just wanted to say something to this (imho kinda ridiculous)
discussion...

dear gl... why on earth do you argue?? I mean I think that I
understand your point that others might be pissed off by the no-
anonymous-code-posting but actually I don't think this is such a
large crowd of hooded developers standing in front of the
metaphorical rockbox-dev building, waiting to storm the whole block
when the doors are open to hooded people...

You have three options each of them is either closer to your opinion
or to the dev's...

1. Leave and "boycot" the dev's because they don't want anonymous
people and further just leech and keep your (probably good) patches
and work and whatever to yourself
2. Come back with a fake name... it's more your way, as you are still
anonymous but at least, you've got a real-sounding name (probably the
most suitable in this case)
3. Come back with your Real name... it means obeying the rules, which
doesn't have to be a bad thing...

I really don't mean to offend you, but just think about it... and it
would be a shame to lose an active dev (which I would like to be...) :(
If someone is SERIOUSLY concerned (as you probably are because else
you wouldn't make such a drama out of the thing) about this real name
stuff and seriously want to help, he/she will most probably choose my
option two and fake a name... no problem
