It's the first time I've played with it, and I find I can't quite get the effect I want (a fast fade out, and then an instant track start - the skipping doesn't feel responsive enough with the fade at 1s). The fade also seems to take some time to kick in after a skip - is that real lag, or is it due to the fade curve used? Would be great if that could be made more responsive (or of it's the curve, use one that drops audio more quickly in the early stages). -- gl ----- Original Message ----- From: "gl" <gl_at_ntlworld.com> To: "Rockbox development" <rockbox-dev_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 9:56 AM Subject: midk: Crossfade skipping tracks only. > > Hey midk, thanks for that addition, something I've wanted for a while. > > However it doesn't always work for me - usually when entering a new dir it > works for 2 or 3 tracks, then they hard skip (tested on H140). > > I think this might be related to another skipping problem I bugged a while > ago (http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/4785), where skipping Wavpack > tracks always cuts off ~500ms of the next track - it's like the audio > drops out for that period of time.
