But the value of "entries" is initialized only once, period -- when
the shared library is loaded into the simulator. So the second time
you run the viewer, in the simulator, it may have a bad value. I can
imagine a way this could work on the device, but not in the simulator,
but the architecture of plugins isn't well-documented, so I'm not sure.
