Is it possible to have settings that need to be saved every shut down
saved in eeprom (i think this is what you call non-volatile settings)?
I'm not asking if it is possible with this patch, only if the
architecture of the new settings system allows intelligent saving of
settings to eeprom in the future when someone wants to code this.
