It's been there, yes, but it doesn't contain the same information the wiki
page does, nor does it contain a link to the build off-site.

The internet is full of places you can put files semi-permanently. In fact
these days many ISPs even include a minimal amount of hosting that should be
more than enough for a Rockbox build and diff.

I honestly don't understand why you're so opposed to being put in a place
with more visibility. You have no guaranteed right to be grandfathered in
just because it was okay in the past, especially when it was your action of
updating the build that has triggered this discussion.

When I read about the original build, I personally did not object because as
far as I was aware, the build itself was taking 2.5 and porting a few minor
changes that were in CVS at the time back to it because they battery issue
was potentially harmful to 2.5 users.

You aren't being chastised, you aren't being attacked, and I see no reason
why you should be getting upset as you appear to be. Many providers of
custom builds have been able to find a place to store their builds, and I
really don't see why you feel that you should get special treatment now that
your build has moved from "Backporting a bugfix" to "A custom build."
