This sounds like a very good idea to me. We have something vaguely similar
with the KnowledgeMap
(http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/KnowledgeMap), but I think
pushing the idea to the next level is exactly the thing to do.

I'd be happy to be listed as WPS code maintainer and perhaps
buffering/playback code too after the summer.
