If not then a lot of those patches won't compile into rockbox and unless
you can modify them you won't be able to use them.

I don't think this is the list for this sort of thing so contact me off
list and I will give you information on how to subscribe to the blind
programmers list.
It is possible to install cygwin when you are blind. you just need to
press jaws cursor then route jaws to pc. Then find the line
all default
left click the d.
Now the line should say all install

Now press pc cursor.
Then click next.
