Hi you wrote:
You need a development environment. You need to patch the source and

See the wiki for details.

Yes. I'll check it out.

If you read the wiki you might be able to get your environment setup.
Then you can install lots of patches.
Are you blind?
If so there are a lot of voice patches in the tracker by Stephane and a
few by me.
If you use Stephane's you could get access to:
-The playlist viewer and search
-Better accessibility in the bookmarks list
-playlist catalog
-tracklock (not really accessibility)
-quickscreen

And more.
I have also written a patch to voice the battery level automatically.

Do you think you could test it out if you get your environment setup?
(My one as well) Because I am just wondering if people like it or not.
It is FS#7910
And remember to change the setting to yes or it won't work!

Sorry that the last part isn't really related to this thread.

**Yes I'm totally blind.

Can I use the environment with a screen reader.

I guess that's why I was looking for a compiled build with all the new
voiced packages installed so I could just go ahead and test on my Toshiba or
even the Sansa E280.

Cheers...rocker
