AW: Contributing 'Sansa Base Station' code for the Rockbox E200 port

Hi Rene, Jonas, Jerry, Daniel and Paul,

sorry, I hope I didn't sound too harsh in my answer to Jonas' email!

At any case I will consider the possibility, that the Sansa Base Station is also using the Apple Accessory Protocol.

I have also to agree to Paul, that is IMHO very like that SanDisk expects money and/or a NDA from everyone asking for technical specifictions of the Sansa Base Station.

_at_Jerry: I'm running my E200 without any problem with the Rockbox in the Sansa Base Station.

So, my first step will be getting an oscilloscope from one of my friends and colleagues and then trying out what happens on the pins of the Sansa Base Station when I'm pressing the keys on the IR remote control.

	Hi Hans-Dieter,

I have a *C* model (C240) and found I needed to change the audio output
when I ran in a docking station (a Griffin iTrip car FM transmitter in
	my case).

I would expect the same will be the case with the *E* model.

For a starting point, see my patch:
	  < http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/8305 <http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/8305> >
It needs to be enhanced, but does get the job done for me.

	Best regards,

Hi Hans!
From what i understand from Jonas mail, the Apple used protocol isn't really from Apple, its from the PP SDK and as the Sansa v1 is based on a PP5024, it is also probably used there. So I would at least try this approach.
Rene
