If a few samples were included (i.e. shuffle_on.cfg,
shuffle_off.cfg,), it would perhaps make it a bit more user-friendly,
but extremely bulky if you only intend to change a single setting and
not an entire set of features (i.e. home_stereo.cfg, headphones.cfg,
party.cfg) as is probably the use-case for your wanting it.

If the "Add to shortcuts" function could be applied to settings as
well as files, it could act as a bridge between these two ideas and
perhaps be the current quickscreen, but presented as a menu list (I've
seen bluebrother suggest this on several occasions). That would truly
make the quickscreen customizable and allow for the removal of the
"Quickscreen Items" settings menu entry if the "Add to shortcuts"
feature is retooled to "Add to quickscreen" (more of a quicklist, I
guess).

Note: I haven't researched the code to determine the feasibility of
implementation and am only using the existing features as concepts to
play with.
