I agree with you on this one. I didn't actually no that play behaved differently in these situations, I think it would be good if we always new what it was going to do, as I always use select when moving around in menus, I doubt many people would think of trying to use play to select options. However i am of course only thinking from the point of view of an h140 so i'm sure other target users might have a few objections.
