This is not exactly speeding up audio the audio you here is speeded up and
you hear it as you forward or rewind through it. After you stop forwarding
or rewinding playback is returned to normal.
Using the pitch screen to achieve a similar affect which is unless I have
completely got the wrong end of the stick what I believe you are suggesting
would be a real hassle as you would have to set the pitch, then reset it. It
would be a lot easier just to have the ability to hear the audio as you are
going through it obviously it would be speeded up though, think of it like
playing a tape deck at high speed, that is how it works on the 140 original
firmware when fast forwarding or rewinding.

Maybe someone who owns a 140 can explain what is being talked about better.
