I'm using Kubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex), and trying to build the cross compiler for iPod (arm). When I run the rockboxdev.sh script, it starts out OK, and downloads and extracts binutils and gcc, but ultimately I get the following error: > /bin/sh ./libtool --mode=link gcc -W -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes > -Wmissing-prototypes -U_FORTIFY_SOURCE -o libbfd.la -rpath > /opt/rbdev/arm-elf/i686-pc-linux-gnu/arm-elf/lib -release 2.16.1 > archive.lo archures.lo bfd.lo bfdio.lo bfdwin.lo cache.lo coffgen.lo > corefile.lo format.lo init.lolibbfd.lo opncls.lo reloc.lo section.lo > syms.lo targets.lo hash.lo linker.lo srec.lo binary.lo tekhex.lo ihex.lo > stabs.lo stab-syms.lo merge.lo dwarf2.lo simple.lo archive64.lo `cat > ofiles` libtool: link: `archive.lo' is not a valid libtool object > make[3]: *** [libbfd.la] Error 1 > make[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/rbdev-build/build-binu/bfd' > make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/rbdev-build/build-binu/bfd' > make[1]: *** [all] Error 2 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/rbdev-build/build-binu/bfd' > make: *** [all-bfd] Error 2 Any pointers? Any other system information you might need to help diagnose?
