Hua! A huge patch has been attached to FS#9931. If I understand the
description correctly, it introduces the setting "line spacing" (similar
to word processing programs) as a way to still fully display too big glyphs.

IMO the two features (correctly displaying glyphs and line spacing) are
independent. Glyphs should be displayed correctly (whatever the Rockbox
definition of this) using all line spacings.

I think it will be a major problem to display overlapping lines, e.g.
with a character in a line overlapping a character in the line above
(think about scrolling lines, for example).

So I think we'd better work on the fonts rather than on the making the
rendering engine more complex.

But I'd also like to hear your opinion about the "line spacing" feature.
But, as steted above, consider it separately from the problem of
rendering glyphs.
