Rockbox mail archiveSubject: PortalPlayer USB for 3.2?PortalPlayer USB for 3.2?

It works fine for most people, but some people are having problems. Those problems usually cause unexpected disconnects after a while, during file transfers (i.e. the OS stops talking to the DAP). This is basically equivalent to unplugging the device while a transfer is in progress, so the risk of filesystem corruption is pretty high. I've only heard of this happening on sansa so far, but I don't know if this means that other targets are immune. Other semi-related issues include people complaining about bad charging on ipods, possibly related to inefficient disk use during USB transfers, and the lack of itunes compatibility (this can be "solved" with appropriate documentation of course) In my opinion, especially the first issue means that we should not enable the USB stack for 3.2, and instead keep the old way of rebooting on connect. Opinions? Frank -- "Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
