This has happened to me at least twice with my iPod color, which is still using a hard drive for storage. Recent builds with USB enabled seem to just slaughter the battery when I'm performing a large transfer of files (usually anywhere from 8-10GB). My iPod video no longer has many problems with battery life during file transfers, as the CompactFlash card in it uses much less power, anyway. One of the bigger issues is with the Gigabeast battery during file transfers. I've had to start keeping it hooked to the charger during transfers, as the battery would just be drained way too quickly otherwise, and that's bad news when transferring videos and FLACs to the beast. --Rob -- Nobody's ever lost in life...they're merely taking the scenic route. ============================== Please avoid sending me Word or PowerPoint attachments.
