Hey all.
The hope for this thread is to get everyone talking about how we want
to deal with swcodec (and hwcodec merging if that is still on the
table, but I think the consensus was its not?).

I know pondlife, Nico_P and I all have ideas and I'm sure others do
too so this email hopefully gets them to write things down...

This email is prompted by me wanted to get some sort of commit yes/no
to FS#9795 and being right after a release its a good time to
potentially add some instability.

Like I said, I have ideas but don't know the area well enough yet so
I'l let others kick this off....
