Ipod USB charging (FS#8802)

FS#8802 has a patch that should allow ipods to charge correctly over
USB. There have been some questions about whether it is safe on all
ipods. Is it?
It looks to me that this is one of the two last reasons for people to
need the OF, so I'd really like to see it committed. Is there anything
still missing from this patch?
I know that the integration of charging and USB enumeration isn't fully
done yet (the 100mA vs 500mA allowed current issue), but hardware USB
targets ignore this issue entirely (except for the h300 which leaves it
up to the user, which really isn't that much better), and the software
USB targets have ignored the issue for ages, so while I do think
we should fix this, I don't think it's a blocker for FS#8802.
