This is a _very_ dangerous idea. Paus, Shutdown and Stop are the same
button, and right now you get audible feedback that you've held it down
long enough to stop (by hearing the audio stop). Otherwise you'd have to
guess whether you held it down enough to stop, or have possibly just
paused, or end up shutting down. And you won't know until you release
the key, or until you accidentally hold it down long enough to stop.

Hi, been following this with interest. From a VI accessibility point of
view I agree this could be dangerous as someone without sight wouldn't have
the visual reference either to know what had happened. Unless the timings
were spaced very far apart, i.e. there was a major difference between a long
and very long press, this could be unwieldy.

Of course, you could always have an intermediate screen which asked what you
wanted to do, but I guess that wouldn't be too popular as it increases the
number of key presses needed to do anything. Another option is to go down
the current route of the discussion, but later down the line develop such an
intermediate screen which could be toggled on and off for those that wanted
it. Best of both worlds there.

Sorry, don't know if that's any help at all :)
