I agree with the first and third point, but I think "a proper rationale"
is not necessary. There's no proper rationale for why video isn't a core
feature, but rather handled as a plugin, other than "we want Rockbox to
be an audio player." So "it's what we decided at devcon" should be
considered the only necessary rationale. Now, whether you can get people
to agree on it without some other reasons, that's a different story.
More proper rationales will probably be necessary to reach an agreement,
but I don't think they should be considered "necessary."

As well, opinions may differ on what's proper, or how much any given
"proper" rationale actually matters.
