Two reasons: 1) IMHO, people who want to use Pictureflow are also likely to want to use the database - it offers a faster way to get to a particular selection and sometimes you want to do random stuff or select by year etc. If anything, I'd *guess* that Pictureflow addicts are less likely to use the file browser (think iTunes filenames), not that I'd want to see that removed either. 2) Putting it in the root might preclude the more flexible use of the database I mentioned, and it's may be confusing to have one thing in multiple places in the UI. I'd rather aim to get the database integration improved and stick it in there for now.
