It seems that properly set auto-props
in ~/.subversion/config will do the trick when speaking about properties
and git-svn.
The keywords thing is different matter. For me it is not very useful and
I would sacrifice this if it makes life easier for gitters.

There is another question to ask also. Current release scenario
with freeze->branch->release comes from the fact that "svn
is not so good with merges" (I heard this many times on IRC).
Git handles merges quite good, git is used by increasing number of
contributors. Maybe it is time to ask if git will make our life easier?
