I don't know if it's just me but at least *I* would really appreciate
descriptive commit messages since it allows one to more easily follow
development. Plus it helps to understand what happened several weeks
or months back in case one needs to check something then. It wouldn't
surprise me either if users following changes but not development in
detail would benefit from that (and appreciate it) too.
