(I prefer to lurk, but here's a topic I can actually comment on!) I've been running SVN builds on a Clipv2 for around a year now, and a Fuzev2 for a month or so, and I haven't really had any problems. The only problem I've had is with the Utility, which seems to always think my Fuze is a Clip and install the wrong build. As far as USB is concerned, the situation appears to me to be the same as that of the iPod, where the OF handles USB. I haven't tried the patch on FS, if only because I haven't really felt a need to. I think they're plenty stable, especially if the RTC wakeup stuff is disabled for the release.
