I personally don't use it, so I won't argue that it's critical :) I think credits is a bit different though. I think it's fairly reasonable to interpret GPLv2 2c as saying you're not allowed to drop the credits plugin, but even without that I think we really want to have that list accessible. Of course temporarily breaking things during development shouldn't be a problem, but the credits functionality will have to be restored in some way fairly soon I'd say. What happens if plugins are built assuming a small screen? Will they break horribly, or just show up awkwardly in a corner?
