I dont think anyone has an opinion against the change. The issue is
around the supposed requirement that all cabbie variants get the chane
at the same time. I personally dont care if one target has this and
others don't. People using the targets missing i are more than welcome
to implement the change and submit patches. There are 23 cabbie
variants in svn, expecting one person to modify and test all is just
idiotic.
