I disagree. It is not the paperwork that is holding the android app from the Market. It is the fact that it is still immature. It still feels like a "Rockbox emulator", rather than a full-blown android music player app.

Maybe we are unable to get to a mature android app on our current path. But I don't see why we would want to release an app to Market that gives new users a very poor impression of Rockbox. I don't expect anyone except die-hard Rockbox fans wanting to use the Android app in its current shape.

This is not a complaint against you or anyone else who have worked hard to get us to our current state. You have done very good work within the limits of our software. But my opinion still stands.

Perhaps a reasonable middle ground is to release the current android app on our homepage, for manual installation by early adopters.
