Date: Sun, 27 Nov 2011 17:55:01 +0100 Hello, At this point it seems we fixed all blocker bugs for 3.10 (a new one, FS#12400, appeared last week, but it's gone now), so it's high time to move forward. Right now I'm building a set of RC builds. As soon as those are uploaded somewhere I'll ask for testers here, on the user mailing list, and on the forums. I think a round of RC testing is needed because more and more users stay on the stable builds (which is good, that's why we make releases), which lets bugs like FS#12400 that only seem to affect some targets remain unreported for a long time. Wide RC testing can help there, so let's try to get that wide testing. Provided no new serious bugs are found (or they're fixed fast enough), we can then release next weekend. If you have any comments on or objections to these plans, please speak up soon! Frank -- "Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it." - Brian W.
