Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Device Recommendation For Rockbox PortDevice Recommendation For Rockbox Port

Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2024 12:15:05 -0500 Hello, I've been working with a media device that accesses either its internal HD or a USB one plugged into it, trying to install a screenreader into its kernel. It is an Argosy HV 335T and it has a Linux kernel as embedded Linux. I did an nmap -O probe on it to find out information about what is running on it, but I haven't found a way to get to the Linux inside on its internal memory. My first thought was to see if the update file, a .img file, could be hacked to allow SSH so I could log in and try to install espeakup the screenreader. Then, I wondered if Rockbox could be ported to it. That would solve the accessibility issues, I still use Sansa clips with Rockbox. Rockbox is the greatest thing ever, and I wonder if the Devs here might find it possible to port Rockbox onto the Argosy HV 335T. This media player also plays stuff to the TV, but some use it just for music. Thanks for any feedback. Glenn Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
