FS#10793 - Dock-type hardware hangs Rockbox

I have an FM transmitter and a JVC boombox with an iPod interface. When I plug my Nano on these devices, the interface stops responding and none of the controls from the players work.

Specifically:

- The command keys on the dock device (the transmitter or the boombox) have no effect
- The scrollwheel works (the “cursor” moves on the screen)
- The Select button no longer works
- The Forward/Back/Play/Menu keys no longer work

Even after I unplug the Nano from the dock, I don’t get a functional interface. The only way to fix it is to hard-reboot the device.

The task blocks this from closing

the patches mentioned were recently commited.. reopen if there are issues

You might want to test FS10623, it could improve the behaviour of your hardware.

Could you report your findings under that task?

Thank you

I downloaded the patch, but how to I access the source code to compile? Is it only available via SVN or can I download the 3.4 sources somewhere?

You will find everything you need at http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/WorkingWithPatches

In case you just want to test, send me your email in private, I’ll send a zip to you.

You can send private mails in the forums.

I am not allowed to send private emails in the forum, for some reason. Anyway, you can send me the test package directly. My address is my Rockbox userid <at> videotron.ca.

Thanks,
