In the "Scroll bar width" screen, the value used to show the width selected is the previous one, not the current one. The first value change has no effect. Anyway it seems that the right value is stored: if you select a value and exit by the screen, when you re-enter in it, the width is correct.
Priority low.

If I place a .wps file in the root directory and “play” it from the file browser, the WPS is not loaded. I’d expect it to load but not to be saved as the setting.
The same file is loaded if it’s in the directory /.rockbox/wps, i.e. it’s not the wrong file contents that’s causing the error.

Task Description
Latest version of rockbox installed on both Sansa e200 2GB and Sansa Clip Zip 4GB. (3.13) Sorry, release 3.12 was the only one available in the reported version pulldown.
Windows 7 Pro 16GB RAM, i5-2500K, 3.3GHz/ 3.6 GHz, 64-bit. 7.3 Windows Experience Index. OS is otherwise stable and up-to-date.
Blue Screen of Death only happens when I try to connect first one Sansa Device via USB to Windows, transfer mp3’s or update a theme, unplug it, then connect a second Sansa different device. It doesn’t matter whether I start with the e200 or the Clip Zip or vice versa. Upon immediately connecting via USB with the second device, I get a BSOD. I have two e200 devices. It can happen sometimes even when I connect first one e200, then the other.
I can disconnect and reconnect the starting device (for instance the Clip Zip) as often as necessary, but if I want to connect to the e200 (for instance to update a theme), I have to reboot the computer in order to avoid the BSOD.

13063 | Bugs | Recording | Very Low | Volume triggered recording fails to stop | 2016-01-09 | Luca Leonardo Scorcia | 2016-01-09
Task Description
Hi, I’m trying to record myself playing the guitar using my old, trusty FuzeV2 (both a very old version - sorry didn’t wrote it down but had to be at least a couple of years ago - and today’s version 87229a4). Recording parameters as follows:
Trigger: Repeat TrigType: New file Prerecord Time: 1s Start Above: -22dB for at least: 1s Stop Below: -26dB for at least: 1s Presplit Gap: 1s (don’t really understand what it does from the manual, but it says it usually has to be the same value of the Stop Below Time, so…)
Recording starts correctly when noise is detected according to conditions; then apparently it correctly detects the silence and stops the recording. But immediately the ‘Repeat Trigger’ parameter kicks in and _immediately starts a new recording_. At this point, the trigger status and the recording status aren’t matching anymore. The recording screen shows the recording file size growing, but the Trigger status is ‘Ready’. I have confirmed that on the actual file on disk the silence is meanwhile recorded.
Did I understand any of the parameters wrong or has anybody else the same problem?

When the battery is nearly empty and the iriver H10 is about to shutdown, the volume sometimes suddenly increases progressively, as if the volume UP button was pressed and held down, all the way up to the maximum.
This has happened to me about 3-4 times so far. Pressing the volume DOWN button somewhat counters this bug, but only for as long as the DOWN button is used - the volume keeps increasing.
This occurs with Rockbox Release 3.5 (not 3.4 as the Report Version field of the ticket says).

This works correctly in release version. My actual version is 0f89b04, but it happend in all dev versions.

Task Description
http://web.mit.edu/mgg6/www/cover.jpg
This file is correctly decoded and displayed in the Fuze+ simulator, but testing on device results in playback stopping. Interestingly, nothing crashes, playback just stops. In theory we should be able to decode this, the resizer does not need to load more than a few lines of the image at once, which should easily fit in memory. Alternatively, if it is too large (or rather wide given that its decoded line by line) for the available space, it should probably just be rejected.

Task Description
I’ve seen this bug on 3.9.1 and 3.10 on Sansa Fuze. If I set the language to Russian and connect the device to USB, I see a message consisting of squares with the only word “USB” being readable. Choosing another font in the settings makes no difference.
When the language is set to English, the message reads: “USB Keypad Mode: Multimedia”. However, the size and look of the font does not depend on the font selected in the settings. This is wrong.
If there is a real need in having a special font for the USB keypad mode text (which I doubt), that font should have glyphs for all supported languages.

Task Description
With r30907 (and also back to at least r30809 which I tested as well) I experience unneeded mass storage accesses on my iPod nano2G. I do not see this effect on my iPod Video.
Use case: - Create a playlist from either DB or file browser - Let buffering finish - Skip forward track by track (I use mpc/mp3/aac with embedded album art.)
Effect seen: For some skips I see short flash accesses (much shorter than full rebuffering).
This only happens if dircache is off. With activated dircache this effect is gone.
As such mass storage accesses are severely impacting the battery runtime on HDD targets I hope we get this figured out before v3.10.

When I: playing something in /Music/Artist/Track.flac, pause playback, connect USB cable. rename /Music/Artist to /Music/ArtistSOMETHING, then disconnect USB cable
I just cannot turn playback on ("~Do not exist" or something message appears, it's OK, I know), BUT when I trying to enter in "Files" menu - there's no reaction at all. Just nothing. I can't play of any other existing track or change to any directory without restarting device, or:
just go to Playlists → VIew catalog → select some playlist, then some music appears. But it's too long imho.
Is "it" bug or not?.. :)

The change is now that both those tags accept as their first param a label which links them.
%T(foo, 0,50,25,25, volup) %?Tl(foo, 1)<helllo|goodbye>
So that conditional will only go true when that foo region is pressed. the label is optional on both, if it is missing on the %Tl then it acts as now (timeout since last press on anywhere on the screen)

12801 | Bugs | Battery/Charging | Very Low | Toggling between charging and discharging while charged... | 2013-01-13 | Kurt Roeckx | 2016-01-20
Task Description
When my Fuze+ is charged and it's still connected to the charger, it seems it keeps toggling between charging and discharging.
I think the problem is that it reacts to some voltage to stop charging. When it's charging it measures up to 4.35 V. But when it stops charging it changes to 4.25V, and says something like 96-99% charged, and which point it changes to charging again, and so on.
So it's basicly toggling between charging and discharging very often, and I don't think that's very good for the battery. Once it's charged it should stop charging as long as the charger is connected. (This might apply to other devices too.)
This was with version 2ef7a54-130111

12853 | Bugs | Database | Very Low | Tagnavi not parsing operators in format line conditions | 2013-04-14 | Sim K | 2013-04-14
Task Description
It seems that operators are discarded when used in a tagnavi.config (or tagnavi_custom.config) format line condition.
For example,
%format “fmt_abtitle” “*%s - %02d:%02d” title Lm Ls ? playcount > “0” & lastoffset == “0”
%format “fmt_abtitle” “%s - %02d:%02d” title Lm Ls
Now if we used “fmt_abtitle” instead of “fmt_title” in the default tagnavi file, we would expect all tracks with a playcount greater than 0 and lastoffset equal to zero to be prefixed by three asterixes (*). Instead ALL the tracks with a playcount greater than zero are prefixed, leading me to think that the & lastoffset == “0” part is discarded. If I make the following change:
%format “fmt_abtitle” “***%s - %02d:%02d” title Lm Ls ? lastoffset == “0” & playcount > “0” %format “fmt_abtitle” “%s - %02d:%02d” title Lm Ls
Now all tracks with a lastoffset equal to zero are prefixed, which again proves that the and operator was clearly ignored and unparsed.

10706 | Bugs | Drivers | Very Low | Tag DB Never Builds | 2009-10-22 | Brian Sutherland | 2011-05-19
Task Description
I am running 3.4 on a 5.5G iPod modified with a 240gb drive. Rockbox is stock 3.4 with LBA48 added in and the max sector size turned off. The database was working ok on 3.3. Only issue was it took forever to add new files. After upgrading to 3.4 I noticed every time I powered on rockbox would lock up in the menus for up to 10 minutes before functioning normally. So I completely removed the .rockbox dir (including the database files of course) and re-expanded a fresh copy. I then tried to init the db. It runs until it is around ~44k files and 99% and then just sits there. If left alone it will eventually just turn it self off. When I turn it back on it will ask me to init the db again. I have seen it try to commit once or twice but it never takes. I am not really sure how to debug this at this point. Also in the debug disk info area, it things my drive is 131071MB. Under Rockbox Info it says 223GB which is better, but these two things are the same as in 3.3. All my Oggs are converted via a script I wrote from my flacs. I do not believe my flacs have any art, I am not even sure you can store art in a flac tag and even them I don’t think the ogg encoder is transferring them. I ran a tag dump (ogginfo) against my oggs and do not see anything to do with album art. I had 4 files on the device with album art. They were all in a directory with a database.ignore file. So they should not have been noticed. Just in case I removed that directory and rebuilt. It went though 44k files, commited 1-9 and then went back to “scanning” but the disk activity had stopped. Upon reboot it asked me to init the db again.
This is not a patched build. I simply changed the config to include large drive support. This is an issue that needs to be looked at. Please check into it, I will be happy to test any ideas.

9189 | Bugs | Codecs | Very Low | Switching APE tracks no longer works on H120 | 2008-07-12 | Thomas Pfenning | 2011-05-05
Task Description
I have only tested this on my H120 with an 18007 build. I have been using the APE codec for some time now and never had a problem in the past.
After reformatting my hard drive and installing the current build I found that rockbox has 2 problems with my APE files
1. The parser for APE files no longer recognizes my APE files encoded with version 8,9 of Jriver Media Center. Result is that files don't play when selected in the file browser and these files do net get added to the database.
2. When switching APE tracks one of two possible behavior occur. a) the Iriver freezes completely. b) On switching tracks there is a loud hiss and then playback of the next track resumes.
Cheers

12711 | Bugs | Settings | Very Low | Some settings do not work properly from shortcut menu | 2012-06-30 | Oscar | 2012-06-30
Task Description
Settings such as "eq enabled" and "replaygain type" do not apply to a playing track when selected from shortcut menu, although the setting does appear to have changed when checking in the settings menu. The audio remains unchanged when changing the settings. However, when changing the same settings via the settings menu they function correctly (e.g. audio noticeably changes from loud to quiet after a few seconds).
Also, while displaying "debug info" on the wps, I noticed that %rg (replaygain value in dB) DOES change when the replaygain is changed via the shortcut menu, even though the audio doesn't change. (Both %rg and the audio change when the same setting is changed via the settings menu).
NB Some settings DO work, such as bass and treble.
Problem noticed on Sansa Clip Zip (build 2f1da04-120627), UiSimulator of Sansa Clip Zip (build fa17cb9M-120627).

12649 | Bugs | Music playback | Very Low | Some MIDI files crash the player | 2012-04-20 | Fergus Duniho | 2012-04-21
Task Description
I'm using a Sansa Clip Zip, which hasn't been added to the Player Type list. I've noticed that several MIDI files crash the player, reporting OUT OF MEMORY and MALLOC BARF errors. This is more likely to happen with MIDI files with many instruments, such as orchestral pieces. One example is a MIDI file for Debussy's La Mer. It tries to load all instruments into memory before playing and will crash without playing anything. I don't know if this can be fixed with better memory management or if my player just has too little RAM.

Sorry, not sure in which build part of this ceased to function, but I think it was just prior to 3.10
In the Clip Sim's I can no longer access the Lock Screen. "H" used to do this for me, as I recall.
Also, the charge values in the Clip Sim's no longer incrementally increase and decrease. The charge values used to go from 0 to 100 and then back down again.
This applies to the Clip Zip Sim as well. I haven't tried the Fuze Sim.
Thanks.

12316 | Bugs | User Interface | Very Low | software hold switch doesn't work properly on clip+ | 2011-10-06 | Wolfgang Dilg | 2011-10-06
Task Description
The key lock feature on my clip+ can be circumvented. Select the last title in a directory using the file browser. Then activate the software hold. When the song finishes the Player skips to the file browser and the key lock is turned off after a button press. You can navigate around the menus until you return to the playing screen, then the key lock turns on again.

7464 | Bugs | FM Tuner | Very Low | Small weaknesses in FM-radio on iAudio X5 | 2007-07-21 | Davy Kager | 2007-11-03
Task Description
I'm using the newest build of Rockbox (2007-07-21) with an iAudio X5 20 GB and I have my tuner set to the European region. I encounter two little flaws in the FM-radio. I think they partially have to do with the player's hardware, but maybe Rockbox can improve the quality a bit.
1. The player is really sensitive to movement. The signal strength differs with every meter that you take the player with you. On top of that, most stations sound like they're not correctly tuned, but I can't get them any better. Maybe Rockbox could be more accurate in frequency selection? (Like 101.100, 101.125, 101.150.) I can get these stations quite well on my home radio. I don't expect the same quality from such a small device, but some finetuning would be great. The only problem is that it would take a while to scroll through the frequencies, but once set it'd be fine. 2. (I assume this is very hardware related.) The radio signal may change between stereo and mono. I have it set to stereo, but sometimes it just picks mono. I guess this is because of the hardware, since it is place related. I also didn't find any potential bugs in the source code.
What are your thoughts on this?
Oh, and keep up this good work! I really enjoy Rockbox!

13058 | Bugs | Operating System/Drivers | Very Low | sleep timer deactivates the idle power off | 2015-10-19 | jasontaylor | 2015-10-19
Task Description
Use of the sleep timer deactivates the idle power off. Both should be independent pathways to shutdown. The Idle Poweroff should initiate shutdown if there is no playback and no keypress inside the indicated time. The sleep timer only is to use keypresses. However, the actual behavior is for the sleep timer to disable the idle poweroff. This is a bug. Instead of either or it (If … else if) should be two "If then .. If then" constructs.
The benefit is that you can save battery life if you leave the device on while player, or if you get interrupted. Currently, you can only do one.
To replicate: use sansa clip, latest version. Set idle power off at 1 minute and sleep timer at 30 minutes (default). Play then pause for two minutes. Press volume button and note unit is on instead of off.

9778 | Bugs | Bootloader | Very Low | Single Mode Bootloader fails reboot on updated Gigabeat... | 2009-01-10 | Davide | 2011-04-11
Task Description
I used the official toshiba updater to get an “original” fresh install on my beast and then attempted to run through the install procedure for a single boot rockbox install. After a (seemingly) sucessful install I’d end up in recover mode after any reboot.
Fatal error when attempting to install nk.bin (rockbox only bootloader) using sendfirm in Windows to an updated (v1.2) Gigabeat S player.
After install of both bootloader and rockbox the Gigabeat S, once rebooted, goes into recovery mode (toshiba) and requires an update/restore. This is the Number 3 Triangle.
Notes: Gigabeat was first updated using the official toshiba MESV12US updater. “gbs_update_1_2_us.exe”
Using SVN revision 19741 to compile nk.bin under WinXP and Cygwin. Using MTP.zip of 7/4/2008 found on the wiki to send over the bootloader.
I suspect most devs updated their bootloaders using the sendfirm utility *before/without* updating the entire player with the updater utility from toshiba. Thus they started from a v1.1 OF and never updated any part of that.
Maybe the updater changes something in the bootcode. I don’t know.
